Governments are expected to deliver better services, faster, to more demanding citizens — while managing public money transparently, delivering national visions and long-term development plans, and adopting new technology responsibly. Leading a ministry, an authority, a municipality or a state-owned entity calls for a distinct set of capabilities that private-sector programmes rarely address. The Mars Public Sector & Government portfolio is written for those leaders: under-secretaries, directors-general, heads of department, policy and planning officials, and senior managers in government agencies and public bodies.

The category covers the core disciplines of modern public administration: public sector leadership, public policy design and evaluation, government strategic planning and performance management, public finance and budgeting, government service excellence, digital and smart government, regulation and regulatory impact, public–private partnerships, institutional governance and transparency, and leading change across government organisations. Each programme combines practical frameworks with international case material, so delegates leave with tools and a personal action plan for their own institution.

Every course is an in-person programme of five or ten days at Mars Training Centre UK’s international training centres — London, Dubai, Istanbul, Paris, Amsterdam, Geneva, Kuala Lumpur, Doha and other locations. Each programme runs as two separate single-language cohorts: one delivered in English, and one delivered in Arabic by native-Arabic faculty, so government teams can learn in the language they work in. Delegates who complete a programme receive a Mars Certificate of Completion.
